Nuclear power stations

The safe removal of asbestos from any building is a specialised and complicated task at the best of times. Removing it from a nuclear power station is especially demanding, as it requires the strictest level of controls and the highest level of competencies.

That’s because removing asbestos from a nuclear power station requires working within radioactive-contaminated areas. Forest Environmental has specially-trained Radiation Protection Supervisors who monitor, report on, and advise on radiation levels to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
