  • Legislation and Approved Codes of Practice (PUWER) - theory
  • Components – theory & practical
  • Mounting and grinding with abrasive wheels - practical
  • Preparation of the working area - practical
  • Setting of equipment, balancing, testing and dressing of abrasive wheels - theory & practical
  • Maintenance of equipment - practical
  • Use of safety equipment such as guards and screens– theory & practical

Assessment of delegates

  • 15 multiple-choice questionnaire
  • Tutor evaluation during practical session
