This course is designed to assist supervisors at all levels to deliver short on the toolbox talks on building and construction sites.

Aims

To help supervisors or managers produce informal discussions in relation to specific on-site health and safety risks to their employees and sub-contractors.

Content

  • Legislation and Approved Codes of Practice – theory
  • Locate specific health and safety information (method statements, risk assessment, HSE guidance and CDM) – theory
  • Produce innovative methods (statistics, stories and key points) – theory
  • Communication techniques – theory 

Assessment

The delegates to produce a tool- box talk at the end of the session, and evaluated by the tutor.
