Who should attend

This course is directed towards anyone whose work may include working at heights including planning supervision and management

Duration 5 hours

Aims

To reduce the risk from working at heights and comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Course Content

  • Legislation and Approved Codes of Practice – theory
  • Locate specific health and safety information (method statements, risk assessment, HSE guidance and CDM) – theory
  • Hierarchy and statistics – theory
  • Work equipment such as towers, podiums ladders steps and harnesses including recognised quality marks – theory & practical
  • Inspections and monitoring of equipment – theory & practical

Assessment of delegates

  • 15 multiple-choice questionnaire
  • Tutor evaluation during practical session
